• Born in Yarmouth, Novia Scotia in 1938
• Started working as a commercial artist during high school and continued on until early 2000 when he started to devote himself full-time to art
• Member of the Ontario Society of Artists and the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolours
• Has been holding "by invitation only" exhibits for over 30 years
• Mr. Amirault believes that every painting tells a story
• He is a founding member of Plain Air Canada - and organization designed to encourage artists to paint outdoors
• Mr. Amirault is a self-taught artist having never attended art school
